Small dog breeds are great pets, but since their personalities are all different, it’s a good idea to look at their individual characteristics to see if they fit with your lifestyle. A third group takes a middle approach, contending that dogs are omnivores and need a variety of all food, because in the wild they would get a balance of protein, carbohydrates, and vegetables from their prey because they ate everything, including the intestines and whatever plant matter was inside.

I mean, I get that it’s very hip nowadays to write crushingly depressing stories that are just hitting the reader over and over again with how unfair the world is and how good intentions always end in shambles, but I’m rather tired of that kind of story.
Over time, the dog may show behaviours that to the experienced eye would be considered dominant, however, to the dogs owner these behaviours are seen as either breed specific, for example, ‘that’s how Chihuahuas’s are’, or part and parcel of the dogs personality, eg ‘he’s always been this way’.
Although most dogs are more than happy to be the follower in their human pack, if their is no obvious leader, or the dog is getting signals from his owner that he is the leader of the pack, then the dog will have no option but to fill the role, as this is how life is played out in the dogs world.
